Each room possesses its own identity and magic, and the house is replete with antique and handcrafted tile, oak, marble, wrought iron, chandeliers, and beams imported from the continent; yet there is an overall unity and flow that carries out into the beautiful gardens, lawns and classic swimming pool and fountain. It should also be mentioned that in this instance “classic” does not translate as “old” – despite (or because of) its 1922 vintage and subsequent care and loving, this home is ready to move into, with shiny hardwood floors, a substantial kitchen with modern conveniences, a luxurious master suite – the best of the new has been gracefully integrated into what is surely a house of the ages.

Main Floor

An oversized, mahogany, carved farmhouse door opens from the front courtyard to the large vestibule connecting the main living areas of the home. The terra cotta flooring is of an elongated honeycomb style, with inset design tiles. The wood, beamed ceiling is equipped with indirect lighting. Wrought-iron sconces and a red and green glass pointed star chandelier over the stairs to the second story are decorative lighting features. The stairway features wide wooden steps with décor tile risers and a wide wooden handrail. Double glass doors with wrought-iron filigree lead to the kitchen area. An 8’ Castilian double doorway opens onto the used-brick terrace. A window with tile surround and exterior iron grate overlooks the rear lawn. There is a cloak closet for wraps and a display niche near the Dining Room. A honeycombed ceiling section precedes the entry to the Dining Room.

Living Room (30’x 17’):
It is several steps down from the Entry to the Living Room that has tiger oak flooring and a 10’ high heavy-beamed ceiling, fitted with halogen track lighting.
