Recent Remodel
This spectacular architectural achievement of poured, reinforced concrete on a steel frame has received a massive renovation by the current owner, literally from the ground up. Entirely new mechanicals representing the current state-of-the-art were installed. This spectacular home is now prepared for another 100 years of superior service.

The entire design concept for the renovation of the residence was interpreted by the International, award-winning designer Barbara Lockhart who carefully maintained the original integrity of the architecture while updating and embellishing the functional quality of this historic estate.

Amenities include innovative marble, granite and tile designs, custom-designed hardware and window treatments throughout the residence. The doors throughout were designed with faux-metal finishes to match the existing antique brass doors. Baseboards and casing details were done to match as well. Of special note are the intricate floor patterns in the Entry, Conversation Room and all Master and Guest Bathrooms. Other features are marbleized columns in the Entry and numerous special finishes on cabinets and walls such as faux-stone, faux-marble, sponging and Trome L’oeil.

The end result is a project bearing Ms. Lockhart’s trademark attention to extraordinary detail, the quality which earned her the coveted S.M. Hexter Award for Most Outstanding Interior Designer in America.
